In this case, I am curious about analog synth sounds. I know the orchestra libraries that come with Ultimate are kind of sub par. Haven't really dove too deep into it so I haven't had the opportunity to identify where its shortcomings are in regards to my needs.īut was just curious if anyone else has identified any and what they might have also got to make of up the difference. I bought NI Komplete 11 Ultimate when it was on sale a while back. i find joy in randomly picking synth and work the different GUIs to get what i want (or get totally sidetracked and find something else that ended up usable) but for me i don't like having the same GUI for every tracks. if you get omnisphere + keyscape then actually you have all you need. i tried arturia collection a couple of times but somehow i'm not sold. u-he repro and fxpansion strobe2 (or d16 lush) are fun options to have. massive has wavetables but the serum's implementation and modulation matrix is a joy to use. Having said that, if you want to expand your synth library then get serum. sometimes a good pack of presets is all it takes bring out a synth's full capabilities. if somehow you get bored of the synths, try purchasing third-party preset packs that caters to the kind of sound you're looking for. Massive is old, but still holds it's worth. if you go in depth in reaktor 6, you can even build your own modular synth in it. and there's lots of community-built synths ranging from a juno emulation to roland space echo box to old casio vl-tone synth. there's lots of synths in reaktor, like monark that sounds virtually indistinguishable with a moog. There's retro machines mk2 in kontakt as part of komplete that has samples from lots of analog synths.
